Selling a woodland through us

Why sell through us?

Because we will be able to sell it for you. We are easy to deal with, will focus on your needs and have 35+ years of experience in the forestry and woodland sector. Most importantly, we are able to present your woodland well and get it sold.

  • What will we charge if you sell through us? We charge a percentage commission, and will be able to advise of what this will be right at the start of the process. Our fee always includes a site visit, taking photos, signage, preparation of particulars, sales negotiations and assistance through the conveyancing process.
  • How do I get my property onto the market? Initially all you need to do is phone or email us and send a plan of the woodland. We can discuss and agree an asking price and get started on particulars and send you an agency agreement form.
  • Can we give references? Yes, please ask and we'll happily provide the details of a previous seller who would be happy to be phoned. We have sold hundreds of woodlands and have been in the business for 35+ years.

What will we do to sell your property?

  • Site visit: We will view it and do some background research. We are happy to go on our own or to meet you on site, whichever you prefer.
  • Taking photos: We will take these on our site visit, but if you have any photos you would like us to use, they can also be included.
  • Signage: We put up “For Sale” sign boards at the entrance to the wood and on any road frontage.
  • Writing particulars: We will write particulars for the woodland and you can see examples of these on the website.
  • Advertising and selling: A key approach is using our website and extensive mailing list. We are extremely well known in the UK woodlands market and search engines rank us highly.
  • Conveyancing: We are able to recommend experienced land conveyancers if that is helpful and we can assist throughout the legal process.
