Alder Gill is a well mixed semi-ancient woodland in a private and secluded setting within the Mole Valley.
Mature oak and beech are common throughout but also alder, hornbeam, birch, ash, mature hazel and coppiced, hawthorne, cedar and blackthorne. The woodland shows various signs of being ancient, woodbanks can be found to the north and south and bluebells and wild garlic carpet the floor in season.
The wood is well spaced allowing easy navigation throughout. It also has the added benefit of bordering fields on three sides, adding to the light within the wood. The main parcel is flat with numerous wide clearings making it ideal for camping and woodland activities.
The terrain drops down into a large gully at the southern end of the wood where a pleasant stream runs from east to west, some impressive oak can also be found along the boundary here. For nature lovers, the wildlife is in abundance, Roe deer, badgers, and rabbits are regular visitors and red kites circle overhead.
The woodland is set in an excellent location, just an hour from London, 40 minutes from Guilford and also Brighton and the coast.

Boundaries: To the north and south the woodland borders open fields and is unfenced. To the east the boundary is fenced and borders woodland and open fields. The western boundary follows the main track separating the plot from the neighbouring woodland.
Access: There is excellent 4x4 vehicle access all year round via a shared locked gate. The private track runs from the gate up to and around the perimeter of the wood. Parking is also possible inside the woodland itself.
