Corscian Wood is a large, peaceful space, ideal for families or those looking for a private woodland. Nestled between the villages of Goudhurst and Cranbrook, Corsican wood is easily accessible and surrounded by excellent local walks, it's also within easy reach of The Peacock Inn at Iden Green. 

Corsican Wood is part of the much larger Old Park Wood, woodland for over 400 years and although now mainly made up of Corsican pines, it has been designated a site of Nature Conservation by the Kent Wildlife Trust. Chestnut are also common and the woodland is bordered by mature oak to the south where a small pond can also be found. 

There are good tracks throughout the wood and numerous pleasant clearings, making it ideal for camping and woodland activities. There is also a caravan, a shed and a useful storage container currently in place that are included in the sale.

District is Cranbrook and Sissinghurst and the local council is Tunbridge Wells.

Boundaries are fenced along the western and northern sides and bordered by fields to the south.

Access There is excellent access for the owner and parking is possible inside the North Gate entrance on Roundgreen Lane and also at South Gate on the A262 with a 4WD. Parking is also possible in the woodland itself. The owner would also have right of way on the hard tracks marked in blue on the map. Vehicle access is possible all year round.

  • For viewing purposes, please park on the verge directly opposite the entrance to Colliers Green Primary School on Colliers Green Road and follow the public footpath, it's a lovely walk.
  • Pass through the pedestrian iron gate on your left and follow the footpath. Pass the horses and continue straight on and into the next field. Halfway across you will come to a row of mature oak trees on your right, this is the southern boundary of Corsican Wood.
  • Continue straight and follow the footpath into the woodland. After approximately 200m you will come to a crossroads, turn right and walk up the track. After 150m you will come to a gate on your right. This is the main entrance to Corsican Wood.
