Packed with good straight oak any owner would find this wood a delight, there is promise here for a fine crop when the trees are finally mature. In winter it's easy to see the wood's structure; when in full-leaf in summer much is obscured. Birch and chestnut are also present with hawthorn as an understorey. There is good long road frontage to a quiet lane.
Davis Wood is classed as Ancient and Semi-Natural Woodland.
Boundaries these are clear, along the east there is a fence, to the west there is a ditch with the boundary with free-standing boundary posts on the insdie, and to the south the road is the boundary.
