Fryarne Park Wood is a very manageable wood in a lovely location, ideal for camping and woodland activities. Situated near the quiet village of Stelling Minnis and only a short drive from Canterbury to the north and the coast to the south.
The woodland has clearly been well used and there is a great open camping and cooking area and also two bird watching hides for nature lovers. There are good tracks throughout the wood and numerous pleasant clearings. The western boundary goes beyond the power lines and although currently quite overgrown, with a little effort this could be easily cleared to make some wide open space.
The wood itself is made up of chestnut, beech and hornbeam coppice, mature oak can also be found.
District is Folkestone and Hythe and the local council is Kent.

Access There is excellent access for the owner and parking is possible inside the wood itself. There is also a track accessible by 4WD that runs along the southern boundary to the camp area.
