Little Millhole is a fantastic mix of old and new woodland set just a few miles from Tunbridge wells. Little Millhole sits beside the larger Big Millhole Wood, both of which are popular with locals. The bridge linking the two has recently been replaced by Sussex County Council.

The wood has a lot of history and is full of surprises the further you venture in. The old railway line runs along the eastern boundary crossing the winding stream in places and some of the original railway signals are also still in place. There are numerous footpaths that take you in and around the wood and open clearings are common, including a small quarry and a lovely area next to one of the tunnels that cross the stream. 

Mature Scots pine, beech and oak, old and new stand throughout but also spruce, yew, larch, hornbeam, chestnut and maple. Black poplars and young ash can also be found and archangel is reported to grow along the stream.

There is excellent access from the main entrance and the owner would have right of way for vehicles.

District is Wealden and the County Council is East Sussex.

Boundaries are fenced along the western side that meets Eridge Lane. The northern boundary follows the stream east to the old railway line. The eastern boundary follows the line south, there are some remains of the fence in places. The southern boundary is very overgrown and there are no visible footpaths. 

Access The owner of Little Millhole Wood will have full right of way along the wide track marked in blue on the map.
