Priory Wood is a wonderfully mixed woodland with wide rides and numerous ponds attracting a wealth of wildlife.
Mature oak and ash are dominant within the wood but also birch, alder, spruce and larch are common. At lower levels, hazel, hawthorne and maple can also be found.
The current owners have marked out wide rides, footpaths and footbridges that lead in and around the woodland navigating the various ponds and glades. The site is flat throughout and offers plenty of choice for camping areas and woodland activities. There is a shepherd's hut at the main entrance to the wood that looks out over the pond offering a great space to take refuge on a rainy day and still enjoy the picturesque surroundings.
Locally, Old Basing is just a short walk and Basingstoke itself is just a five minute drive away. With easy access to the A30 and the M3, London to the east and the coast to the south are both within reach.
