Strawberry Wood - Sold

Good mature woodland, with the formality of gounds around a grand house and gardens, it's also part of the Conservation Area, a designation which recognised the historic value of the Dane Court, the  grounds and the village of Tilmanstone. This is in effect a tree preservation order (TPO) but does not affect normal forestry management where there is a Forestry Commission approved plan in place. Clearly when planted the wood was to be a setting for the grand house, where large lime trees along the boundaries share the wood with huge sweet chestnut, beech, sycamore and oak.  Bluebells and wood anenome are widespread producing a welcome display of colour in the spring.  

Access  is either directly off Pike Road or School Road.

Boundaries  at the south corner there is a post with bright orange tape, west and southwest it's the edge of School Road and Pike Road and along the northeast boundary there is the line of lime trees. The southeast line is unmarked, there is red tape at the northeast corner by the line of overgrown hazel hedge.
