Thrushell Wood provides a rare opportunity to own a secluded mix of both meadow and woodland on the edge of Dartmoor National Park.
The woodland is predominantly conifer plantation of around 20 years of age but as you wander deeper into the space a wide variety of other species can be found. Oak, hazel, hawthorne, ash and shrubs border the expansive pond.
A lovely stream follows the eastern boundary attracting a wide range of wildlife including deer and birdlife. The stream eventually meets the river Thrushell, from which the woodland gets its name.
The large pond sits at the centre of the land, where a small bench and shepherds hut are in situ for enjoying the peaceful surroundings and overnight stays. The site is flat for the most part making navigation easy if not on one of the many wide rides within the wood.
Locally, the edge of Dartmoor is within walking distance with a wealth of walks and points of interest to explore. The small town of Oakhamption is just a short drive away with shops and restaurants. Further afield, Bude and the Hartland Cornwall Heritage Coast are about 30 minutes away.

Boundaries: The boundary is fenced on all sides. To the east the boundary follows the stream and the south borders woodland and fields. North and west border neighbouring woodland.
Access: There is excellent vehicle access all year round via a hard track and shared locked gate. There is also a private gate to the woodland and a private track. Parking is possible at various points within the woodland itself.
